Coffee Body Scrub

Almost every entrepreneur will tell you that they caffeinate in one way or another at some point in the day. There are those who avoid it, however they are few and far between. As a coffee lover since 2009, I’ve been creating an at home body scrub with my left over coffee grounds and the results are awesome!

Simply mix your leftover coffee grounds with a couple of spoons of coconut oil, some rock salt and sugar and voila! You have an at home beauty scrub for skin that’s good enough to eat. The scrub can be stored in a plastic container in your shower. The great news is, most of these all of these items can be purchased at your local supermarket

You’ll need:

  • A coffee Plunger to collect grounds

  • Liquid Coconut oil

  • Salt Flakes

  • Granulated Sugar

Optional: Vanilla essence

On my health and wellness journey, I’ve worked for many organisations. Before taking the plunge into the wellness industry from hospitality marketing, I volunteered at Anamaya Resort as a media intern. Check out the articles I wrote for them here.

An article I prepared on teen yoga for Yogedia recieved thousands of views on Do You Yoga.com which has since transformed. I still belive that it’s a large part of my purpose to inspire the emerging generation to take great care of their bodies and find a way to be at peace with themselves by avoiding comparison and other negative frames of mind, because when we feel good, we do good, which is a ripple effect. And in this world of ever increasing AI speed and efficiencies, human connection is all we have left.

As a large portion of my Graduate Diploma, which I completed in 2019 at Curtin University, I volunteered 100 hours of my time for the WA Cancer Council, focusing on the Sunsmart Campaign & the Find Cancer Early project.
